a new update.

Hear ye Bloggers.

How doth thy reading of the scriptures taketh thee into other realms of thoughts and appreciations?

I wouldst delight in thy intricate re-tellings of how thee hath found this noble challenge to be so far.

do tell.

Strength in thy readings and re-tellings.

  1. Most faithful Krestonius,
Where hath this noble challenge taken me thus far?

Hmmm so much to say yet how to say it...when we first began this journey I never imagined that I would learn so much just between Genesis 1:1 and Deuteronomy 28:68! These readings have really opened my eyes to how intricately God plans everything... from the simplest to the greatest, and all that lies between. It really blows my mind!

I must admit I was confused as to why we did not have to do all those sacrifices and religious rituals in present times. It wasn't until Reegs made the comment about being thankful for Jesus dying for our sins that it finally clicked. I have never really understood the significance of what Jesus did...I understood that He had died for our sins but not that He had saved us from such a rigmoral...I mean seriously I should have been stoned a million times already...how did those people ever make it past 20! I am really beginning to understand how Gods word applies to every aspect of our lives...and how simple it is for us now, just common sense really...do good not bad. Its heartbreaking that something that should be so easy to do is made so difficult by us. Why must what is wrong always be easier than what is right?! I guess that is how God challenges us...He rewards us everystep of our journey, and tests us at each turn...so the rewards far outway the retributions...honestly why He bothers is beyond me but I am so incredibly thankful of His love for us :-)

Sorry Krestonius but I am finding it difficult to make this an intricate re-telling of my journey so far...so much to cover!

I really enjoyed reading about the ten commandments...it will be interesting to see the effect they have on the people...although Jesus did end up having to die for them so i'm guessing that maybe the commandments were not as affective as they should have been...

All these readings have really made me take a closer look at society today...really it must be so painful for God to look down at what the world has become...lets hope He decides to return soon hey!

Well I hope I can provide a more detailed contribution to this forum in the future...maybe after the exams...

Just quickly before I leave you all, I was looking at my Bible today after I had done my readings and I noticed how far my little bookmark has moved! not long to go now really is it...imagine how much we will learn between now and the day we reach Revelation 22:21!

Goodnight all. hope you are all doing amazingly well...don't know when I will see you all again but I hope it is soon :-)
    Take care
Kim (sorry couldn't think of anything creative!)

  2. Hey all.

Yeh, wow, I was real excited to see that bookmark moving. We really are moving... It's been real good. I've noticed there is a fair bit of repetition in the bible. Like the sacrifices, a tenth of an epath of flour with oil, a grain offering, um, and all that... (ok, repetition, though i still can't remember it all.) Isn't it interesting how Moses talkeds to God with Reverance and Respect, though almost like a friend. Talking to God like a friend reasoning with a friend. When God was about to wipe out all the Israelites 'cause he was frustrated with them, and Moses saying "are you sure you wanna do that, what will that msg say to the nations, you brought them out of Egypt to destroy them?" God must have had a plan, and Moses was part of it. Moses must have had an exciting life. Though a big burden to carry. Leading a nation. A grumbling Nation.

Ahhh... I have to go. State of Origin. Go Qld!!

All the best bloggers. I'm still finding it interesting. Godspeed in your readings.

    Kresto
